Recently, I came across a tweet from one of my favourite technology journalist and public influencer in the social media arena in Quebec. The news seemed very exciting: A new search engine tool that would gather several social media channels with features that would revolutionize the way we interact.
Well, when I saw the promotional video I was immediately suspicious as it used Google Chrome for its interface. And just as I expected, after installing it on my PC and testing it for one day, my computer started to slow down. Like the first version of Google Chrome, this tool is not going to appeal to anyone unless they conceive a lighter version, especially when you have reliable engines like Safari, Explorer, Firefox and social media management tools like Seesmic.
What happened to Google? None of the social media products that they have market seemed to work. Why not focusing on their strengths and continue providing with great SEO.
